For the Fall/Winter 2015 Narciso Rodriguez runway show, the designer sent models down the runway, in narrow-heeled platform shoes and long and lean looks. Earlier this week, Rodriguez shared these stilettos dubbed “The Metal Pin Heel” on social media in a post counting down to the show. And gem, in the form of a details shot of a dress or top, revealed what might be new textures and fabrication for Rodriguez.
Further scrolling allowed us to peak into some potential inspiration sources including artists: Henri Matisse, Salvador Dalí, Richard Pousette-Dart and Roy Lichtenstein.

On the runway Rodriguez showed lots of white and black, some black and white too. Colors arrived via prints, but also in almost monochromatic looks, we saw a few looks in beautiful hues of rich tangerine. For the silhouettes, think '70s-glam. High-waist flared pants and jumpsuits have a sexy, almost minimalist, quality to them. The Narciso Rodriguez woman is deliberate in her choices. She’s strong, but doesn’t need to be the loudest person in the room to make her point.
For the red carpet moments, we can easily see celebs like Rosario Dawson and Jessica Alba in these pieces. We’d also love to see Bella Thorne rock some of these looks.

The beauty looks created for the show were very clean and restrained. For nails, Deborah Lippmann created a custom nail look for the show. “I combined 8 drops of 'Fade To Black' with 'Hard Rock' nail strengthening top coat. I applied 2 coats, waiting 2 minutes in between each coat,” explains Lippmann. The result is a sheer veil of black on the nail, like a chiffon or a silk stocking. For the makeup look, Artistic Director for Shiseido, Dick Page created a look all about brows. “For the brows we used the Shiseido Eyebrow Styling Compact to really define the brows naturally, not adding or reshaping anything that isn’t there,” says Page. There was no mascara, bno blush and no lip color for the show. Just flawless skin, models were prepped for skin perfection with the Shiseido White Lucent Power Brighteing Mask, and good brows.
