How did you get your start in this industry?

I have a background in business and fashion and with this experience I decided to launch my own luxury brand of clothing for modern women. So seven years ago I decided to move to Miami to pursue this passion of mine. Soon after I knew I needed to move my collection here to New York City because I love this city. My Spring/Summer 2016 collection was actually inspired by the iconic New York skyline.

Where are you originally from?

I am from Caracas,Venezuela and moved to Miami seven years ago. Recently I have relocated to New York City.

What would you say your signature style is?

My style is more global more international, very modern contemporary and minimalist.

What kind of women do you envision wearing your clothes?

I created my line for the working woman. The woman I envision wearing my clothes is someone who is confident in who she is, is modern and trendy, but also simple and very friendly.

Who are some famous Latinas you admire or would love to see in your designs?

One Latina I admire a lot is Carolina Herrera. Besides the fact she is from my native country, she’s had such great success and is definitely an inspiration. I’m also a fan of Latina stars like Chiquinquirá Delgado, María Conchita Alonso, and Sofía Vergara.

What more can we see from your line in the future?

It’s a minimalist line, so I want to try and maintain this style as much as possible. In the future you will see me continue to mix in inspiration from cool architecture and fun shapes into my line.

You just launched your line earlier this year and are about to have your first show in NYFW. How do you feel about this accomplishment?

I’m very excited to launch my brand here in NYC especially during fashion week. Being able to show my collection on the same runways as other major designers is incredible and it’s a great feeling.
